Some silanes react very rapidly with water, they can be used in the formulation of paints and coatings to capture the excess moisture coming from the fillers or the surrounding environment, to prevent premature cure during compounding, enhance uniform curing, and improve package stability. Silane drying agents can react even in the presence of other silanes in the formulation.
